For my first move, I researched Carol Tomlinson, one of the most influential people in the practice of differentiation.  I read a few of her books, aswell as read other online xources about her and her work.  Through this research, I learned what differentiation is, how differetiation can be implemented in classrooms, and the importance of differentiation, especially in the younger ages.
